OMG look at what Mike and I are getting......

Hes MINE ALL MINE!!

He is a greater swiss mountain dog puppy and while this photo is only at 5weeks old, he will grow up to be like 130lbs!

We are officially getting him on the 18th because he is still nursing on mom at this point and right now ALLLL the way in Iowa.  The lucky pup gets to be flown by plane to TX (flying Delta at that!) where he will be promptly smothered in kisses and hugs... and might have a heat stroke considering its like 80 degrees here and snowing in Iowa!

Gunther and Spoof [Nov. 24th, 2008|08:00 pm]

There are no words to describe Gunther... except that his rampant sexuality is shocking and he may be the ONLY person in the universe that could legitimately have a mullet and not be shot. This video is hilarouis!!

And this spoof of the same video is EVEN MORE HILARIOUS!!!
Hilarious Spoofage!  <-- clicky clicky

Warning: You WILL be singing this for the next few hours

Hurricane Ike... long story in short--

Our apartment flooded. We lost A WHOLE LOT of stuff.  Basically we have no home to go back to.  Since the damage on the apartment complex was SO bad, we had to move out so the contractors could gut the whole place down and rebuild. Mike an I now live in a very expensive yet very shitty apartment in college station.  It  sucks

end note: Our tank of fish survived! I have no Idea how they did it

Well lots has happened since my last update.

Mike and I are training to run the Austin half marathon in february.  I am super duper hardcore excited for that that! Running over 12 miles straight is a big task but signing up for a fancy training program will really help.  All the coaches are really nice and know TONS of stuff to share.  Anyways, just planning ahead, the Race is on sunday the 15th of Feb and Mike and I will probaby head to austin that friday before, so if anybody wants to hang out just give me a shout!

In other news, I recently got a babysit my (ex)bosses dogs.  One is a 6 yearl old sheltie beagle mix and she is rather old and crotchety however the other doggie is a 5 month old german shepherd puppy (Zach).  That puppy is GINORMOUS but totally adorable! It makes me miss having a dog but I am at my limit as far as the apartments allow on pets and the dog I plan to get is expensive and giant.... so not having money or space kinda kills that dream for now.

Well just like everybody else, school starts like instantly (where did this damn summer go!?!?) and thats really a bummer but oh well... I get to go to class if I plan on graduating (ever).....

Mikes mom has decided that her Daughter-in-law to be shall now be here girly girl buddy.  Basically that means that every two or three weeks I get free mani pedis  and food only at the cost of spending a whole day with a middle aged lady that loves to talk about just 2 things, painting and her hippie guru "nutritionist".  let me tell you why I cant stand either: The only things she paints are premade patterns and just paints on whatever color she is told to. 97% of the time, she doesn't even finish her "painting".  I would understand more if she was really creating this stuff from her mind and being a real artist, but she might as well save the money and buy a "color-by-numbers" coloring book and some crayolas.  AND the whole hippie nutritionist is even WORSE.  She swears this "doctor", which probaby went to medical school in a minimall, is amazing.  He has her taking literally 100s of "herbal supplement pills" a day.  Im talking like multiple handfuls of these pills per meal.  Somehow she will believe everything he says no matter how hokey it is.  This con artist of a doctor has to be making 1000s of dollars off of her by telling her that she has to buy his special bottle of herbal pills that she has to take 15 of a day and some miracle will happen or something.   He actually said (anybody that understands basic chemistry will get this) that she should buy this "natural" salt thing because there is less sodium in the salt crystal than in regular salt.  Last time I checked, it takes ONE sodium atom and ONE chloride to make the basic structure for a salt crystal.  It is completely impossible to build a salt crystal at all without equal numbers of sodium and chloride.... and mikeys mom will believe whatever crap he tells her.  so you can see my dilema when in comes to spending a whole damn day with this lady.

Anyways, if you actually bothered to real all that crap then thanks and congrats or making it without falling asleep.

Heres to always looking towards tomorrow *Cheers*

pets pets and more pets [Jul. 25th, 2008|06:49 pm]
Well it looks like Mike and I have added yet another member to our long list of pets.... Camilla the ball python (Mikey is super duper thrilled)...that now brings us to:

2 cats
1 red eared slider
1 ball python
and 7 fish

Technically the plan is to someday get Monty from my parents and breed the two snakes.  Baby ball pythons sell for 100 bucks a pop so the hobby would be well worth it.  Besides, my friend that gave me the snake also gave me her whole setup including two basking lamps which is even better.  Snakes are really easy to care for. Just feed them about once a month or once every two months, scoop out their poopies, and make sure they have water. Thats pretty much it aside from the very occasional cage wipe down and betadine snakey bath ^_^

Snakes live about 20-30 years and turtles about 50.  So Mikey and I will have these little guys for quite a while... maybe even someday our grandchildren will get to play with them.

Well after scouring most of the greater Houston area, I finally managed to get my hands on a brand spankin new Wii.   And, the jewl of my find in the Grande Wii-Search was a game called "Endless Ocean"

In this kickass game you get to play as a scuba diver and dive all rounde the worlds oceans and look at cool fish.  You find out more about each animal you see by playing with it and all the information goes back to an encyclopedia which you can view...... ok so here comes the nerdy Marine Biologist part...... other than having whales in weird places and penguins swimming within a couple hundred feet of a coral reef,  The game itself is surprisingly acurate.   I can see why a game like this would not appeal to your ordinary gamer but any Marbie would die and go to heaven.

[mood |depressedLonely and Sad]

Well mikey has moved off to seacamp.  I will get to visit with him for a couple of hours every day (maybe)... but only while he is doing seacamp activities and crud.  Its just not the same when you live with somebody and sleep in the same bed for THIS long and then have jut just say goodbye for 9 weeks.  Its really lonely around the apartment now and hella boring.

I guess it just time to keep myself really busy till august so I wont have time to feel depressed or anything
